"What is something you were afraid of, and how did you face that fear?" Coach Susannah Anderson's story is about facing her fears while competing internationally with USA Gymnastics...
"Competing for USA was my goal... but winning for USA was my dream.
One day, I had a shot at winning. It was up to me and one tumbling pass to land, and I would win the US that gold medal. I was scared of that pass. It was so hard to get through, let alone land... I was scared I would fall, fail, let me team down and my country down. But once I saluted, I had to take that pass. I couldn’t walk away. I shook my head a little, stared down the floor, and thought to myself; “This is my moment. Time to shine. Let’s go!!!” ...because sometimes it’s okay to fail, because at least you tried!
Oh! And for the record... I landed it and I won. :) "
