Okay I’m feeling super weird & anxious already today. I always get like this before I go out and let me tell you, it is the most annoying and frustrating thing ever. I have literally barley gone out or done much this year because of this & it’s ruined so many things for me. But I just want to say, if you feel like this before events or what ever it may be - you’re not alone. Try and do these things and don’t let it stop you from doing stuff (easier said than done I know)
This picture is quite contradictory, but kinda relevant, I am generally a very happy smiley person, but certain things put me on edge. We’re all human and all have issues so it’s okay not to be okay 24/7💜

I love my workouts on Saturdays because it's a mixture of all my favorite upper body movements. My goal for Saturday is usually a determined day to get in and out of the gym in a decent amount of time, keeping my intensity high, the sweat going, looking at my phone minimal and to keep my pump goin💦

Normally when i do a full upperbody workout (2-3 times a week) i do some sort of variation of following exercises. All with 3 sets and 8-12 reps:
Today i did low row with resistance bands. A really good variation if you want to learn to be more explosive. Try and add it to your next workout! 😍💗

Totally worked out in the dark this morning.. one of the downsides of having all my weights in our big bedroom.. I didn’t want to wake Lucas. Unlike my first, Marcus, he is sooo sensitive to noise & light.. while marcus would sleep anywhere you placed him!
I’m just happy I got up earlier & finished my workout before I go out to get groceries.. not sure how Marcus will feel today so I just want to get the important stuff out of the way for sure.
Our fridge is a desert land right now... what can I say, going out in the cold with two kiddos just isn’t my favourite thing to do!

One of the cornerstones of upper body strength is scapular stability. I use this pose in between sets to create more awareness. Let your ribcage float upwards and settle against the shoulder blades. Without this I’d find it hard to target my lats, triceps, chest, biceps.

Here are a few tips to get the max out of the half kneeling press safely.

🔸Keep your shoulders down and back, and your spine neutral by activating your mid traps.
🔸Breathe out as you push up
🔸Keep your butt and core contracted throughout the exercise to keep your posterior pelvic tilt.
🔸Great exercise to develop the diagonal and unilateral stabilization needed to handle weights during dynamic standing activities, which will translate to optimal athletic performance.

I never bend my back leg when #lunges since forever, i take that as a #quadriceps #stretching and in this #workout I am using #resistancebands to line up the #upperbody #strength with some shoulders rotation as stretching, the front leg #kick and of course the hands go under that is for the #core #absworkout with the #strength of the front leg #hamstring... then i must landed on the same spot as a full #bodyweighttraining that I am controlling my own #muscles then the back leg kick with the #butt and quadriceps #explosivepower to finish a #split in the air with another abs #exercise and landed exactly at the same spot. At one point the back leg has the hardest #training while it was relaxed and gaining #flexibility , I wake it up and ask it to #kickass .. then repeat .. that's how my brain function in my #fitness .. guess #functionaltraining should also work on the brains and al my students know they need to bring the brain in training and every little details make big differences ... they get it after a few reps ... #rainbowleggings by @bodeaz 15 % off code CARRIE+15
