I'm sure many girls can relate - when you first join a gym and all your comfortable with doing is cardio and a couple of leg machines? That was me for a good few months when I first joined my university gym. To scared to even do something upper-body related, let alone touch a dumbbell.. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Although it's a physical transformation, the knowledge between these two photos vary greatly! I had 0 idea, I didn't understand the difference between cardio or weights, I automatically thought weights equalled bulky and cardio equalled toned, how wrong I was! 🤦🏽‍♀️

Upper body is now something I ❤️ to train, shoulders being one of my favourites. I am currently training upper body between 2-3 times a week! 🙌🏼

TARA’S TIP TUESDAY
💪🏼Bicep curls 💪🏼 because every lady loves toned arms! I always want you to lift heavier weights, but I want your form to be perfect first. Too often I see people throwing their whole body into lifting the weights up, but that is the easiest way to get an injury.

> turn your core on with a neutral pelvis
> soft bend in your knees
> keep your elbows locked into your side
> lift heavy shit (but be careful)

An upper body workout solely using the cable machine for the triceps, biceps and shoulders💪🏽
1️⃣ Tricep pushdowns using a bar.. 1 full rep and 1 half rep
2️⃣ Tricep pushdowns using the rope keeping your arms as tight to your body as possible and squeezing at the bottom
3️⃣ Bicep curls using the bar all the way up but you can also incorporate a half rep
4️⃣ Overhead press focusing to keep the handles are still as possible
5️⃣ Shoulder flies, these are really hard so keep the weight light

Gained SOME sort of size over the last year , happy with the progress for a bloke who eats in a surplus on and off (not always consistent) with food intake ,BUT it looks like alot of Pizza , Pasta and good meats are starting to show 😆 you do not need majority of supplements to grow , just provide your body with a surplus ( more food then needed to maintain ) , only supplements I take is the odd BCAA, very rare Whey Shake but mostly a pre workout !
