H I B I S C U S X S E L F - L O V E 🌺💕 Today's post is something that I hold very dear to my heart, something that people prefer not to talk about and they hide it away deep in their minds. This thing that I'm hinting of are our insecurities. People tell you to keep them hidden because they show weakness, but today I see them as encouragement to love my body more than I ever have. Through the Hibiscus plant I am able to tell you a story of my own insecurities. Yes this plant is bright and beautiful, but if you look close enough you'll realize that its' petals and leaves are speckled and wrinkled. For years I've suffered from acne and scarring, and the Hibiscus plant reminds me of my own skin, vibrant and wonderful, but once you get too close you see every little detail. Thanks to the beauty of one plant I'm able to look at the bigger picture, and embrace my outer beauty. I cover myself in these bright vibrant colors to emphasize the color of my skin and the texture upon my face, I AM me and there's nobody else that I'd rather be. Thanks to this collaboration I am able to know my body an even more personal level and I couldn't be more grateful for that. My acne doesn't define me, it's just something that emphasizes my beauty and makes me different from all the rest. So my advice to everyone young and old, men and women, is to love yourself, don't let your insecurities define you but let them motivate you to be an even better version of yourself. Be confident and walk proudly because you're more beautiful than you'll ever know.
