Oni 鬼 are one of the greatest icons of Japanese folklore, depicted as large ogre-like creatures with red or blue skin and one or two horns on their heads, these yōkai are ferocious demons and bringers of disaster.

Shuten-dōji is considered one of the three most evil yōkai in Japanese folklore. Shuten-dōji is said to have been born a human boy who later transformed into an oni. He eas eventually killed by the hero Minamoto no Yorimitsu. According to legend, even after decapitating it's head, the demon had continued to bite.
