Here, Kara shares her favorite yoga pose: "Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana or standing extended-leg stretch is my favorite posture because it takes time and patience to master. It reminds me that everyone is on their own yoga journey, just as we are life journeys...Completing this posture with a bent or straight leg shows yoga isn't always perfect. I often like to relate my yoga journey to my life journey. I have realized through yoga that it is up to me to accept the challenge or not, whether that be in life or yoga. Sometimes I fall, sometimes I fail, and sometimes it isn't anything like I hoped. But the choice is mine to either stay down or get right back up and try again. Yoga teaches self love and acceptance.
