Until recently, I had never trained solely for hypertrophy (muscle #gainz). But I felt pulled to join in on @kthomasfitness #BignessProject , because I wanted a new stimulus, and I wanted to get stronger, and I figured the easiest way to get stronger AND mix up my training was to create more muscle (thus, larger area to produce more strength).
In 5w (!!!), I put on some thickness in my back and shoulders (and quads, obvi, because #quadzilla life) (it's also week 12 for me, so should probably update foto). But, more importantly, I re-learned the lesson that I can do hard things. I discovered that there is peace to be found in the iron, even in the 10lb dumbbells I sort of forgot about. I connected with a community of women chasing something larger (quite literally) than "toning," "slimming," and shrinking.
It's on re-release now! And I urge you to join in (I also get no kickback from this; it was a life-enriching experience everyone needs to have. And Kourtney is a BAMF, so, if for no other reason, ask her about whiskey and beets. 😜).
