The great outdoors is just waiting to be taken in. It is my gym of choice.
While kayaking, I enjoy the beauty of God’s creation AND it‘s an amazing work out! It focuses on “your back, shoulders, arms, hands, abdomen, chest and especially heart are key target areas during this adventurous exercise. Even an hour of kayaking will produce more work for these muscle groups than you'd probably hit in any single gym session.” (Livestrong.com)
My blood sugar levels did great too! I remained in the 90’s and built up an appetite. Can’t wait to get out again on our new tandem kayak!
Fun fact: Percy Priest Lake in Nashville has several small islands that you can set up camp for free! First come, first served.
