Derek Jeter started the Turn 2 Foundation in 1996 to sponsor programs that motivate young people to live a healthy lifestyle. Since then he’s distributed over $10 million to various programs. Now that’s how you practice #SportingTheCause!
After performing, I got to kick it with Derek Jeter and the homie Raul. Derek's got amazing vibes. Raul musta taught him a thing or two.
On Thursday, October 26, 2017, the Turn 2 Foundation and the Jeter family were honored at New York Presbyterian Hospital for their dedicated support for the Turn 2 Us program. It's an initiative that the foundation and NY Presbyterian have worked in conjunction for the past 16 years to help and assist youths steer towards the right path for a healthy outlook on life from a mental wellness perspective. Once again, I applaud Derek and his family for their continuous efforts to give back to the community on such an important issue like mental health awareness that is inspiring and tremendously helpful in breaking down the stigma and barriers associated with this issue. 👏🌟💫 #yankees#derekjeter#turn2foundation#mentalwellness#mentalhealthawareness#givingback@jeterturn2@nyphospital
