My favourite way to start my morning is with a warm beverage and my journal, in a quiet peaceful spot. Since giving up coffee a few months ago (see previous post) I've been on the hunt for a healthful, satisfying drink to begin my day with. I finally found it! Turmeric tea, or "Golden milk", is easy to make, very inexpensive and so delicious! All you need is a teaspoon of turmeric powder, mixed with your favourite nut milk and natural sweetener (I love almond milk with date sugar). Heat it up and add a dash of black pepper to increase the absorption of the turmeric. Not only is it delicious, creamy and satisfying, turmeric is one of the healthiest foods on the planet!
