🌟 Hi. My name is Wonder. I am the only known albino Turkey Vulture in the country. Actually, I am technically leucistic as I have some pigment in my plumage, so almost albino but not quite. My vision is too poor to be able to survive on my own in the wild. I was found facedown in the snow with frostbite to three of my toes because I lost my way migrating south from Michigan in the Winter. I defecate down my legs in order to keep cool using a process called urohidrosis. I do not have a voice box, and therefore don't have a "call" the way most birds do and instead grunt and hiss to express myself. Since I do not hunt live prey I am not actually a raptor and more closely related to condors, and my feet are more like that of a chicken than a raptor. My beak, however, is meant for ripping apart flesh and can easily tear through a cowboy boot. When I feel threatened, my superpower is projectile vomiting the most putrid smelling substance you'll ever smell in your life. Aside from all of those pleasantries, I am an integral part of the food chain to maintain a healthy habitat acting essentially as a janitor to the environment.
Vultures and Condors are heavily affected by the use of lead bullets that most hunters continue to use despite overwhelming scientific evidence that has proven the detrimental effects it has on these species
