If I didn't realized where I was, I was going to understand quickly by going to the mosque for prayer.
While I was walking away from the city center, in one of the traditional Uygur neighborhoods, I saw an old man, with his beautiful white beard, sitting next the mosque. I sat next to him and asked him at what time was Asr prayer ? After having a lot of laughs because of our lack of mutual understanding, he showed me on his watch the time remaining. I tried to communicate with him, know his name, tell him mine, tell him where I came from, we laughed so much.. A young woman passing by stopped next to us, her eyes were sparkling and she was very curious and with a big smile she asked me in English from where I came from. She was shy of speaking English but was really good. I took the opportunity to ask questions about the situation of Muslims in this region but the girl said she didn't understand...We had a really good time with the old man and this young woman until another guy stopped next to us. This time the atmosphere changed. First I thought he was one member of the girl's family but I noticed that the old man was not confortable too. The young woman told me that she had to leave for her English class in the center. She smiled and left but was really disappointed. The guy who arrived started to speak with me, especially about why I was next the mosque, told something in Uyghur to the old man and left. The old man next to me was different. I was wainting for Asr but he told me to leave the place. I told him that I wanted to pray but he told me no with his head.... I saw that he was sorry and I decided to leave the place... Didn't want to cause him any problem..
