I'm so thankful to the many of you who reach out to me after the Midwest Getaway. Some of you asked me some amazing questions so I thought I'd address them to everyone!
So here's the first:
Why Positively Balanced?
As many of you know, I am a recovering over exercising bulimic/anorexic. I say recoverING because it never fully leaves your mind and it will always be a part of me; however, I can say this is the healthiest I've felt in years. There were many times I fell into depression over those years due to issues I couldn't control and food/exercise was something I could. I found balance and a positive outlook from the amazing team of carers, doctors and friends I built around me.
Positively Balanced came about last year, due to my husband's support. He encouraged me to follow my passion of helping others live healthy lives, be active, and have a sense of community.. Every person is different and my approach is to make sure we address the things that affect you as an individual whether it's movement, healthier food choices, or exercise. I want to help you find a safe, sustainable and effective method of working out or movement that you enjoy. Yoga, weight lifting, Essentrics, HIIT, whatever. Some people think you have to be super athletic, super flexible or have the perfect set of genes to do active things such as working out. I'm here to tell you, YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE PERFECT. It's not about being perfect, it's about living your Positively Balanced life that is unique to each of you.
