Honouring @tulipinadesign Workshop in Victoria 2017... TULIPINA:
As a little girl, growing up in a humble home in the Philippines, I only had a small box of Crayons with basic colours to do most of my art in school. I later on found out that if you melt some of the crayons it will produce amazing shades of different colours! My favourite one was discovering chartreuse green! I still remember that spark of amazement that I felt in creating something unique and beautiful. That same spark was rekindled when I met Kiana Underwood of @tulipinadesign . I was one of the lucky attendees in Victoria that witnessed true art in floristry. Her teaching of floral art is like painting, flowers are portrayed in such a way that it grabs your attention to your core. Every placement of stems was like a stroke of a brush. Flowers are respected, not cramped and not tightly arranged, rather its blooms has freedom to move, to dance and express themselves beautifully. Vines, foraged greenery, has its important role of defining the blooms. Bowls, pots and vases were perfectly chosen to contain the elements of the floral design.
I am honestly in awe of Kiana’s teaching, her gentile spirit and humility. If you could take the opportunity of learning from this true artist, the experience is magical! I might have to go back again 😊❤️.
