CLIENT SHOUTOUT: @loud_86 has been working with me for several months in prep for his meet in December. Hes been struggling with some hipmflexor pain so our focus has been on active recovery. We worked at low intensities while working on rehab. Once we got his intensitiesb as co up we worked in lower volume. I can't wait for him to step on the platform in a few weeks and crush his first meet! - @Regran_ed from @loud_86 - "When I woke up this morning I was feeling pretty dangerous"- @bakermayfield
Squats (5x5) Speed deadlifts (6x2) @ 65% with accommodating resistance (purple band) Using bands adds a resistance that helps produce force and teaches explosiveness. Using bands on deadlifts teaches to fight through the sticking point and helps build explosiveness in the lockout. I would recommend using bands on the big 3 lifts to build power and explosiveness which helps translate to strength. Programming: Email firstname.lastname@example.org
Deadlifts make me happy, when it’s just you and a bar, nothing else matters. Today’s workout: Deadlift 3x4 at 190 kg Pulldowns 3x12 Rows 3x12 Face pulls 3x12 Curls 3x12 What did you work today? Comment to let me know
Flat Bench: 185 lbs x 10 (second warm up set) 225 lbs, 5 x 5
Since I've been having so much trouble recently, I decided to work on improving my form with a challenging weight (clearly I'm pushing myself for that last rep with that butt lift). I'm hoping that after a couple of weeks of training like this, I'll get back into the groove of setting PRs every day!
