Remember to buckle up for safety... weighted hip thrusts, I see a lot of people doing this movement with so much weight. Just remember it's not all about the weight as much as it is about the contraction of the glutes and hamstrings. What would be the point of packing on all that weight if you can't do the movement correctly? Best advice I can give is to always squeeze for 1 to 2 seconds at the top of the lift, if you are unable to do that then you need to take some weight off the bar! By far our favorite back building workout is weighted pull-ups! This was my last set of 105 lbs for 4 reps! Almost 5! 😈 After my heaviest set I like to ladder down with 3 sets of 7 reps at 75 lbs and 50 lbs! This workout is great for building not only your back but also your biceps, forearms, rhomboids and trapezius in the middle of your upper back, and finally your core! Recently I've been very tired and recovering unusually slow. After checking in with my dr, she seemed to think I'm not eating enough! When I'm constantly on the go, eating sometimes is last priority, especially with that NYC hustle! Today I'm trying out these meals in hopes to get my energy back up! Thank you @heartymealsny for sending over these delicious meals. Here is what today's agenda looks like.
Breakfast: Quinoa Porridge with Maple Syrup, Almond Milk, Blueberries, Strawberries, and Oranges.
Snack: Blueberry Scone with Raspberry Jam
Lunch: Rice and Beans
Snack: Lentil Pate with Mixed Greens, Carrots and Cucumber Slices
Dinner: Steamed Greens with Tofu Puffs, Olives, and Sicilian Sauce.
