Leg springs on the Cadillac. Lots of core engagement here for stability & control. Looks easier than it is, legs are moving independently of each other which makes this movement a little bit harder to control, hence the core engagement. 😉

My body is finally feeling somewhat back to normal. It’s crazy how much traveling depletes your energy, not to mention I’ve been battling a lingering cold for over a week now. This is such a great exercise on the reformer, not only does it work your triceps but you really have to use your deep abdominals to pull the carriage back in. 💪🏼👊🏼

✨Roll down on the reformer ✨ The lighter the spring the more work in your core 😃. Challenge yourself to not use momentum or to rely solely on the weight of the springs. It’s so easy to use our quads or our hip flexors to move through this exercise. Take the time to breathe, isolate your abdominals, keep them engaged to control this movement. Add the twist to get into the obliques. After 10-15 reps your abs should feel on 🔥🔥🔥. .

One of my favorite ways to get my heart rate up on the reformer ✨Lounge to Plank; Leg Pull Front ✨ we're using so many muscles and coordination of breathe in this exercise but of course you're using the core to lift the leg into plank. You can never work your core too much. One of the main principles of Joseph Pilates, Pilates Method is strengthening the "inner unit" (abdominal muscles, diaphragm) so that we can effectively use our "outer unit" (our limbs etc). So, moral of the story, work that core! .
