Repost from @billy_thefatherslove4u |DOES GOD GET ANGRY AT US WHEN WE SIN?
Short answer: No... Wait let me explain,
This is because Christ suffered God’s wrath on the cross so you don’t have to. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him. (Romans 5:9)
If God was to be angry at us,it would be because of sin.
What happened to our sins? God dealt with them completely in the body of Christ. Sins of the past, present and future.Sins confessed or unconfessed, sins of omission, commission, transmission, admission tradition or whatever new concept the theologians may “discover”. The blood of Jesus, the sacrifice on the cross was that good. Truly worth celebrating don’t you agree?
Or maybe you think it’s good enough only for some sins, not all. Just some? I hope not.
What about the day of wrath that awaits the sons of disobedience?(Romans 1: 18,Colossians 3:6,Ephesians 5:6)
But you, by virtue of being a believer, are NOT the sons and daughters of wrath or of disobedience(unbelievers). You are the children of God.(1 John 3:1) The ones that will NOT be judged(John 5:24). The ones that should have no fear come the day of judgment (1 John 4:17). We are the ones that cannot escape out of His hand. The eternally secure(John 10:28) who are a sweet aroma to Him.(2 corinthians 2:15) We are the bride of Christ.
So does God get angry when we sin?No because His wrath was poured out on Christ. He is not angry with you today and will never be.
With all this in mind, then maybe we can stop avoiding Him, Hiding due to shame, guilt and condemnation, feeling like the “dirty” Christian.
Friends, He is not angry and will never be angry with you. You are not dirty either because He made you permanently clean. So come to Him with boldness and confidence knowing that you are not accepted based on your deeds and actions but based on what Christ did for you on the cross. The throne of Grace is your home. Your Father longs to spend time with you, even on this side of heaven.| #God#Jesus#JesusChrist#newcovenant #grace #faith #salvation #truegospel #goodnews #christianity #christian #repent #changeofmind
