I had a unbelizeable time in #Belize yesterday. It’s easily in my top three places I’ve ever had the chance to visit! I had the opportunity to trek Lumanai Mayan ruins, climb to the top of the high temple, (the third largest building, still, in Belize), learned more about and got to know local Creoles who fed me yummy fried plantains while enjoying a riverboat ride through a secluded canal and New River away from the city. Then ending the day exploring inner Belize City’s old cemetery. This was only a small taste of what this truly amazing country has to offer with its glorious mix of Mayan, Spanish, African, Creole, Scottish, and British people. My heart is already planning its return. 🖤
