The cold steel railings of a quaint little bridge asked me to stay.
The calm wind resonated with the sound of a stream
flowing through the boulders and whispered stay.
The warmth of the paws I held, was a request to stay.
The half full moon smiled through the blanket of stars and murmured, stay.
The chirp of the crickets buzzed through the silent forest and echoed stay.
The subtle music of the fluttering prayer flags urged me to stay.
The shimmering fireflies shined through the night drawing a message that read stay.
The acceptance of the people when I asked, "Can I come home?" was an order to stay.
And I stayed.
With the place. With the people. With my true self. 🙂
