Remembering Reno 'Trillzee' Wallace II, 26, who lost his life on November 20, 2015 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The up and coming rapper was shot and killed and three other men were injured by an assailant. His killer remains unknown, as well as the motive behind his killing. The police chief says that the, "three survivors know the person who committed this crime and if they could just cooperate with police, we could make an arrest in a timely manner and get the perpetrator involved off the streets." 🔅
Trillzee was a devoted and loving father of a 3-year-old son and a step-daughter. His son's mother said in an interview last year that her son "wakes up in the middle of the night and says, ‘I keep having dreams I’m in heaven with daddy at the zoo,’ and I can’t explain to a 3-year-old why this is happening,” Jessica Hawkins said. “My kids have to grow up without a dad.” Hawkins said she spoke with Trillzee just before the shooting. She and her children were in Miami, getting help for her daughter, who has a rare seizure disorder. She said Trillzee was excited that she and the children would be back home in Pittsburgh soon and that a medical marijuana bill, which could lead to a new treatment for her daughter, was moving forward. “I’m so angry that somebody did something so reckless for no reason,” the children's grandmother said. Hawkins said all her family wants is for someone to break “the code of silence” and give them the comfort of knowing that the person who took Trillzee won’t get away with it.
“I do know that I want to know who, and I want to know that they’ll never be able to do this to someone else’s kids again,” she said.
We extend our sympathies to Trillzee's kids, loved ones and his many friends who continue to miss him everyday. The family hopes that someone with knowledge of the murderer will come forward and help Trillzee get justice. Rest easy🎧
