The tribal fusion class was taken at @hanna_belly which is an amazing dance studio in Aracaju, Brazil. The dance instructor there, Cecilia, has great methodology and is super nice!
Tribal fusion was the first sample class I've taken that I couldn't make up my mind about, but I can say for sure that I've never sweated so much without moving my feet: the moves done during class were slow at first, and then became increasingly faster. The moves were isolated and, for me, that was the hardest part of this class: how to move your hands and arms without moving your shoulders and elbows whatsoever? We had to learn how to move our chest alone, as well as our shoulders, elbows, upper stomach, lower stomach, and hips. Moving this way required my full attention, due to the fact that I had to isolate each part of the body I could move.
Tribal fusion is a mixture of different kinds of dance, but mostly belly dance (but with fewer hip moves and more upper body moves), and flamenco (back and arms position). I believe this class was not enough for me to have an opinion about it. But I really enjoyed learning what I could!
