😁 Went out for a 5k run yesterday & took the advice of my physio to engage my glutes more and keep my core warm! My hip hardly hurt & it doesn’t hurt this morning! So pleased 🙌🏻

Decided to switch the location & bike for the turbo. Had my bike set up a couple of months ago so thought it would be best to have the bike in the correct position. Some high impact mats are being delivered today so hoping that will help any vibration/noise so my neighbour below doesn’t hate me! ... finally got the sensors working so all ready to Zwift it later today 🚴🏼‍♀️& watch some Grey’s Anatomy 👌🏻omg just had a brill idea ... you’ll find out tomorrow if it works 😍

Had a physio app yesterday for my hip ... i’m bruised from the massage 😂 going to try and run at the weekend but it’s basically hurting if I run about 800m ... so that’s why i’ve been quiet... swimming posts get a bit repetitive! •

Good nutrition is so important to the way you look and feel and I definitely think that the saying ‘you can’t out exercise a bad diet’ is so true. This is especially so when training for an event. It can affect performance and recovery time so always try to choose meals and snacks that are nutrient dense and have a good ratio of protein, carbohydrates and healthy fats. One mile swim done today so this was a perfect snack to keep me going til dinner 🏊🏼‍♀️🚴🏻‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️#swimbikerun #sportsnutrition #youcantoutexerciseabaddiet

Let’s see how many extra things I can add to plain old porridge oats....ground linseed, maca powder, PB2 chocolate powder, hemp seeds, cooked apple and pear, frozen berries, sultanas, a Brazil nut, cashew milk, a sprinkling of granola and a big spoonful of almond butter. Lovely empty gym for leg day followed by 45 minutes of gym bike intervals. Lighter weights today but higher reps for four sets each. I included mostly supersets of deadlifts, squats, step ups, leg press, leg curl and leg extension and added in some ab work too. It’s very important to ensure your body is strong in this way to help prevent injury plus give you that extra edge when training for long distance events #triathlontraining #strengthtraining #legday #whyaremylegssowhite
