3 days, 8 spicy events we put @trecfit & @unleashed_perform on the map and the podium! 2nd place in the finals, 3rd overall! Super proud of my pardner @jbbeck6 for an awesome weekend @fightofthefittest
This was by far the most challenging comp for us as masters (which was the same standard as the competitive teams) heavier weight loads, gymnastics and some new toys we've never played with before. We came into this event with the attitude we were going to give "everything" a GO! Stayed calm, worked our asses off BUT the thing I'm most proud of is Jen and I have amazing communication skills between us. We know each other's strengths and weaknesses, when to push and when to give the other some help. We are a team and nobody gets left behind.

#TRECniqueTuesday: Temporary relief for knee pain.
-Foam rolling only provides temporary relief to pain and doesn't break fascia or scar tissue.
-Rolling doesn't require a lot of pressure and the roller doesn't need to be super hard or have a bunch of pointy nubs in them. More isn't better.
-Outside knee pain is often from the IT Band continuously rubbing over the femoral condyle due to a tight TFL and glute max (both attached to the IT Band).
-Roll the TFL and glute max to provide temporary pain relief and muscle relaxation.
-Pain above the knee often caused by tight quads (all four muscles attach to the tibial tuberosity)
-Roll the quads to provide temporary pain relief and muscle relaxation.
-Make sure to stretch after rolling to get a longer lasting effect.
