In case you didn’t know, I made it to the MOTHERLAND! 🇵🇭 More to come, but this particular photo is one that is so special to me & I wanted to share it. It was taken on my mama’s home island where I got to say hello to some really amazing kids at the high school. They were beyond gracious & welcoming & made me feel like the coolest person there. Although, really, THEY are the cool ones. 💞 Despite the heat (89°, feels like 100°) & no electricity/air conditioning in the school/island to escape that heat, they still show up and have only smiles and positive attitudes. So a giant shout out to this school AND entire island for not only showing me love but reminding me that life can at times be hard & imperfect but, we ARE responsible for the energy we put out into the world & rather than giving in, be mindful & careful of that energy because you never know the impact it can have on another and yourself. 🙏🏼🌈

Taken more than 3 years ago - an overlooking of where the gentle giants of Southern Cebu can be found. Seeing and swimming with them is quite a one of a kind experience but personally I would be more happy seeing them on their natural habitat, freely. For all the travelers who are planning to go here, please please be responsible, and respect and follow all the rules and guidelines provided by the local tourism. Please. Do this for your kids and especially for our beloved whale sharks.
