Love these vintage travel posters. Air France was formed in 1933 when five airlines merged together. Air France adopted the seahorse logo, which was used by Air Orient, one of the merging airlines. No word if the skies actually parted in a France shape, however.
More from my Abu Dhabi collection last year: "Rollin' and a-Strollin' down the Corniche" follows the popular format of early 20th century travel advertising which features an attractive woman in the foreground as the main focal point with the destination in the background. I dig these Cuba posters which are actually by modern day artist Kerne Erickson who has also reinvented a 1930's/40's style with his own stamp. #KerneErickson#travelposters#Abudhabicorniche#vintagetravelposters
