We were sometimes a while waiting at these bridges. On the other side of this one, waiting to cross towards us, is another line of four-legged beasts of burden ferrying goods out of the remote interior regions. There were no roads here, the narrow pathways being the only way to get from one remote settlement to the next.
We could have tagged onto the end of this young boy and his train of donkey's, but none of us particularly fancied adding either our individual or combined weight to the already groaning structure.
Besides, we were in no rush, and people watching here in Nepal was utterly fascinating.
