After a whole night walking at more than 4000m and freezing on the summit waiting for the sunrise you never see because you are in the middle of a big white cloud: that's how you look!!!

Un simpatico ristoro ad #Alba. Microbirrificio boia fauss e ristoro pensavo peggio. Con un nome così, se ami l'avventura come fai a non fermarti?

On a bike your senses are tuned into the world around you, so it's like a slideshow of changing landscapes, hills, coastlines and towns. Travelling by bike, you also get to enjoy all the local cuisines, cultures, quirks and characters. -Mark Beaumont-

Today I hit the wall when climbing a tiny hill in the afternoon. My stomach was empty and my legs started to shake. I shopped for some food and paid about 20€. I was fed up and negative. In moments like these it is easy to forget what positive things happened during the day. The days are over much too soon, most likely because they are so full. In the evening I think about the day, maybe I write in my travel diary. Usually, or always, there are a couple of stories to tell. Today I woke up to a beautiful sunrise at the shore. I had had a bad night, was feeling sick and cold and had two nightmares. Horrible. When the sun rose I felt coming back to life again. I went to St. Tropez where the day also started slowly. Shops just began to open, but the harbor was pretty busy. I stumbled upon a graveyard with a view over the ocean. Went to the beach but froze because of the wind. Gave another beach a try because it is named Plage de Tahiti. This time the sun burned. I dipped into the water, still pretty cold. Then I took a couple of naps in the warm sunlight. Later I went towards the west and had that bad experience because I had not eaten properly. I recovered and descended into a very beautiful looking valley. I did not know what was coming up so that was a nice surprise. The valley is called La Plaine des Maures. So lovely. I found a spot besides the road and am sleeping under the stars again. The road is more busy then I had thought but that's ok. Better than another of those crowded camp grounds.

Monaco, Eze and finally Nice. Did not go to Café du Cycliste cause it was closed. After riding the quiet roads for days Nice was kind of a shock. Lots of people and noise. And I had a hard headwind the whole day. I passedNice and am not planning to go back for the unofficial official foto at the café. Now rather more into the west/southwest, trying to find more quiet sides again.
