When laying out plans for improvement with diet and training, one critical component to consider is the day-to-day. This is especially true during the holidays. For success, balance in training and exercise to ensure both progress and enjoyment must be achieved. Make sure to plan for travel (where to train and when, equipment available, meal prep, and food shopping) and changes to schedule (training days, duration of training, and meal times). Taking all of this into account beforehand will make things more enjoyable and more productive. Often times, I see clients fail with this when they aren't prepared. When you aren't prepared, it’s easy to get pulled off track. So plan ahead. Have both the good (training, proper nutrition) and the not-so-good (cheat meals, poor schedule) planned out so you can enjoy the holidays guilt-free and navigate through without hindering progress.

I can’t tell you that I wasn’t a little stressed about falling off track this winter. In November, there isn’t one weekend where I was home the whole weekend. In December, I’m going to Vegas, Walla Walla for Christmas and have football tailgating.⠀

My life is busy, I have way more going on than just fitness and I freaking LOVE it that way. But I never want to feel like any of that comes before taking care of me. Because I can’t do anything if I’m sick, if I don’t feel well, if I haven’t filled my own cup first.⠀

“I have always been very insecure about my image and my weight! I would always start diets “working out” and quit within a week, and then binge eat right after. That is obviously not a healthy lifestyle! Once I finally got into the mindset of wanting a change in my life about 9 months ago, I did change! It’s all about mindset and balance and Casey’s program really helped me realize that.

I used to barely eat because I thought I was going to lose weight but that’s not the case! Casey’s program (and just her Instagram in general) really showed me that I just need to eat right most of the time but if I really want something that I actually WANT to eat, eat it! That way I wouldn’t just go binge eat later like I would before. Also the exercise program was amazing! Even though I have been working out for a while now I still learned new things and was able to challenge myself! I’ve gained a lot more muscle, lost weight but also gained WAY more confidence!
