!❓ WHY SCALES DON’T MATTER❓!


When it comes to weight / fat loss many people tend to rely too much on the scales to look at their progress, if the scales say they lost weight? You’re happy. If they say you’ve gained weight? You’re unhappy (depending on your goal of course). What many people fail to remember, especially when weight training, is that muscle takes up less space, yet is denser than fat. So you can still gain weight, but you could have lost fat and gained muscle.


It’s really frustrating when you’re sticking to a diet and going to the gym also, yet failing to see results, why do some people get good results from eating well and training hard, yet others seem to flat out fail? THE MIND TENDS TO SHOW YOU NEGATIVE THINGS FIRST! I guess this is a survival mechanism in the brain, which is always looking for danger, emotional or physical, over time, negativity is what has kept us SAFE. The issue is, how your brain ‘feels’ your results are going, is NOT a good way of gauging progress on a fitness plan.


Here’s something you can try TODAY. Understand that weight can go up and it may be muscle, which is good. The more muscle, the more intensely you can train, the more calories you can eat without gaining fat, and the more calories you’ll burn each workout, speeding up fat loss. Also, take measurements of your upper arm, neck, waist and mid-thigh, google the US NAVY SEAL body composition method, you can estimate muscle and fat levels quite accurately. FINALLY? Move away from the scales! Trust your results and remove your emotions! Consistency is key, stick with your plan and it will pay off!

What Muscles Do you Tone When Riding a Bike? 🚴

Cycling is fun and it’s a great family activity. But by making cycling part of your – and your children’s – routines you will be doing some great things for your bodies and giving you a sense of wellbeing that you’ll never find in front of the TV.

As far as cycling will build muscle, especially the quads, glutes and calf muscles. The more muscle mass you build, the easier it is to burn fat.

Depending on how you ride it can also tone and build your upper body. If you frequently stand in the saddle your arms and shoulders will get a good work-out too.

As long as you maintain proper form on the bike, you'll tone your body from your core to your calves.

The Upper Legs and Glutes. The muscles you work the most when riding an exercise bike are the quadriceps and hamstrings. ... 1- The Lower Legs.
2- The Core Muscles.
3- The Upper Body.
