Over the weekend the CATS hosted their highest elevation project yet, at over 10,000 feet above sea level. Due to the continual snow run off the lake Agnes Loop trail in State Forest State Park had begun to erode away leaving small tread to walk on and making the hike unsafe, so the CATS in conjunction with the State Park (and a few of their volunteers) went to work building rock walls and wood bridges to help elevate and secure the trails tread. Though the rain forced us off of the mountain on Sunday afternoon we were still able to make some major improvements to the trails overall usability. With 360 degree views of the scenic alpine lake we couldn’t have asked for a better work site.
