How #totallyrad is this award? Wanna know why this is #theraddest award to me? Because 1. It was the Marine Corps Marathon and I’m a Marine; 2. this was a test to my ability to run a marathon in preparation for #imfl2017 (I’d only run 16 miles in preparation); 3. It was my last stand alone marathon (I did still have IM); and 4. This is the best part, it was my first race as a #teamrunfar #runfar ambassador! It wasn’t my fastest, it wasn’t my slowest, but it was my favorite of all times! The #bostonmarathon2017 was amazing, and the most emotional run as it was #garysdream #runyamajirun and I felt my Dad with me the entire day; #wediditdad ! The #mcm2017 was the first time I ran a marathon for fun, #thekids #somethingbiggerthanme and I loved every second of that marathon, that journey (even if it was 26.5 not just 26.2)! For those of you that don’t know about Run Far (link in bio), it’s an organization built after my own heart (I know you’ve seen those videos of me doing #22pushups to acknowledge and raise awareness of #veteransuicide and #ptsd ). Not only does Run Far help raise awareness of ptsd and veteran suicide, but, and this is where this organization differs in the most amazing way, it provides education scholarships to kids that lost a parent to veteran suicide. I ask you to take a moment, checkout the Run Far website, get some cool apparel (perhaps Christmas gifts for your loved ones, neighbors, secret crush, or better yet, yourself), or a give simple donation that has the ability to impact a kid in a magnificent way!
