This a gig with Chant Duplantier a few weeks ago on the side stage of the Toyota Pavilion venue in Irving, TX. A clip of Jerry Smith Jr.’s bass solo during a instrumental version of “Elenor Rigby” originally done by the Beatles. One of my absolute favorite stand-up comedians, Bill Burr, was performing two shows that evening on the main stage at Toyota Pavilion. I would have loved to been able to go to one of his shows that night but unfortunately our play times overlapped. Bill Burr also happens to be a drummer himself. I found this out as he mention it in one of his acclaimed stand-up specials as he seg-wayed into a bit about injuring his foot while trying to get his foot as fast as John Bonham’s. You can name drop a drummers name anytime but you lead off with John Bonham, well people are already going to be all ears because he’s one of the high priests of drummers in general, much less is he a legend!🙌👍 Also have to add a link to a YouTube video that someone put together in correlation to a podcast of Bill Burr talking about Tomas Haake, drummer of Meshuggah. Its awesome and done in the ever loved fashion of the Bill Burr observation.
