1,000 Yen Meals Day 63: November 18. Ah, what the hell? I ate food today. Why not, right? No one will know. Except you. And anyone else who reads this. And the people who sold me the food. And the people who watched me eat it. So a lot of people will know. But more people won’t know than who know. I’m no mathematician, but I reckon the percentage of people who DON’T know I ate food today is not 0%. And it’s not 100% either. So I’m going to wager it’s somewhere in-between those 2 numbers. Did that math all by myself. I’m so smart. ☺️ Speaking of being smart, I made the right decision to eat food today. Here’s what I ate:
▪️Morning Smoothie: Not counted
▪️Boring-ass Steamed Veggies: Not counted
▪️Sushi: ¥272 (original price 390)
▪️Tons o’ Inari: ¥178 (original price 330)
▪️Yummy-ass Bun: ¥140 (original price: I have no idea)
▪️Matcha + Red Bean Taiyaki: ¥95 (original price ¥119)
▪️Match Green Tea Boba: Not counted
💱 Grand Total: ¥806
✅ Money Leftover: ¥194
Overall, not a bad night. I’m always down for sushi. Especially discounted sushi. Hell, discounted anything. Wait… I just thought of something… What if they… Discounted a discount? Whoaaaa. Mind blown. 🤯 After nomming the sushi, I scarfed down that yummy-ass bun. It was kinda like a giant gyoza/steamed bun. Super yummy. Reminded me of the dim sum I used to get back home. By this point, I was getting kinda full, but I continued on and finished the tons o’ inari. Always tasty. For dessert, I got a matcha/red bean taiyaki. Pretty yummy, but since it had been sitting out for a while, it was kinda cold and chewy. Normally, when you get taiyaki, it’s ideal to get it right off the iron when it’s warm and crispy. Still good, though. Since I didn’t get boba last night, I got it tonight. This time I opted for the matcha green tea flavor. Verdict: Meh. Super meh, in fact. Tasted watered down, which is weird considering I got less ice. I’ve decided CoCo’s balls don’t deserve to go in my mouth. So I’m either gonna get a Starbucks matcha green tea latte for my Friday treat or go to Gong Cha in Harajuku. But Harajuku is kinda far. Ugh. First. World. Problems.
Aight. That’s it for today! See y'all あした!
