Finally got my ish in gear and combined good nutrition from the #tiunutritionplan with consistent workouts. Most recently barre 5 days a week and lifting a few days a week. Ive truly come pretty far since the look for love challenge. I couldnt afford the nutrition plan during that whole challenge till the end i finally got it. Even though i didnt have the plan and many days i felt counteractive i kept going. I didnt love the person i was and I had this great vision for myself but my head was so crowded i couldnt find the guidance i needed to take action. I was lost in pain and neglected my body causing so many problems. @toneitup is helping me heal my body and free my mind. Even when times are tough i couldnt be more thankful for our beautiful trainers πŸ˜™ and this amazing #tiuteam. My own version of #tiutransformationtuesday I wore this outfit today and was reminded when I bought it. I was trying new adventure in fitness but I was not living a healthy lifestyle. I was starting down my fitness journey but wasn't committed to it yet. This shirt was snug and the shorts gave me muffin top. Putting this outfit on today reminds me of how far I've come. How hard I've worked. How even though I'm still working I've done some incredible things since then. Remind yourself of the non scale victories. Well...I'm bugged and I didn't realize until now just HOW bugged.😾 I received the comment today, "Well, you've never been big so you don't know what it's like to feel that way," to which I replied, "Actually I used to be 30 pounds heavier." Y'all, they laughed at me! Laughed in the way that 30 pounds "is nothing."πŸ’” To me, 25-30 pounds on my 5'4" frame was a lot and I have busted my ASS every day to keep it off.
I DO know what it's like to feel different than your friends--I went through puberty in 4th grade and was literally a foot taller than every boy in my class.πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
I DO know how it feels to be "the fat friend" or the wingman who only gets hit on out of pity. (LOL but trueπŸ˜‚)
I DO know how it feels to be uncomfortable with your body and obsess over every single bite.πŸ™…πŸ»πŸ‘™
I DO know how it feels to struggle with weight loss and feel like you're at a standstill.

AHHHHHH! I am seeeing results!! I haven't looked at my before pictures for about 5 whole weeks (before pics scroll to the right) and now that i have and compared it to my current body I AM SEEING A DIFFERENCE! I have been trying my best to stick to the #tiunutritionplan and the #tiubikiniseries workouts, but there have been times where I have missed/skipped some days due to laziness, family events, etc. However, I don't feel guilty about it! I think what's different about this nutrition plan and the #tiuteam #tiugirls is that the goal is to try your best and we are human and have little slip ups here and there, but if overall you change the way u eat on the regular and are keeping up with some of the workouts and doing a little each day, YOU WILL SEE RESULTS. Hi #tiuteam and happy #tiutransformationtuesday 🌴 This photo on the left was taken two years ago when I ate whatever was in front of me and drank a lot and had a terrible sleeping/eating late at night habit. I wasn't familiar with tone it up yet! The photo on the right is from today. Living a TIU lifestyle, I'm conscious of what I eat, drink and how much sleep I'm getting! Today I had woke up and did the NEW TONED ABS w/ @katrinaascott and went on a 20 min bike ride around Port A! M1 - @toneitup pancakes w/ 1/2 green apple M2- @toneitup bar M3 - wheat bread, turkey, pepper jack cheese, spicy mustard, lettuce, tomato and avocado πŸ₯‘ M4 - coconut lime wine M5 - 2 chicken wings w/ quinoa, a salad and some healthy tortilla chips with salsa! After a stressful week I was inspired by all these amazing tranformations you ladies are posting. So I started digging through photos for #transformationtuesday and it definitely gave me a burst of motivation. Left is when I joined @toneitup in January 2016, middle is the start of #TIUBikiniSeries 2016, and to the right is at the start of this year's challenge. I had a few setbacks in late 2016 after some major life changes, but thanks to some amazing #accountabilitybuddies I dusted myself off and got back to it. Slow and steady wins the race, right?? 4/23 --> 5/22. 4 week progress photos are finally here! Had to make some time to take these babies between grading assessments (summer is almost here am I right my fellow #tiuteachers?!), meal prep, am and pm workouts, and then some evening engagements that have come up this week!

So, not nearly as much visible physical progress as I was hoping to see in the straight on front facing photo. But I FEEL the difference - I'm down 3 full sizes from where I started at the beginning of the year and more importantly I feel AMAZING! I'm excited about taking care of and nourishing my body and I have energy for days! But real talk, I think most of my progress you can see in the next two photos! πŸ˜±πŸ‘ My bootay is shrinking like WHOA. I need to double up on those booty work outs pronto and replace what's disappearing with muscle pronto! .

I cannot believe it's already week 5, but then again what's that saying "time flies when you're having fun". And I am loving this #tiubikiniseries 😍

I have stopped weighing in or measuring while the challenge is going on because I want to focus on how I feel. I feel so energetic and strong and I truly believe that slow and steady will win the race. That is to say it's all about consistency as lively @tiu_elise14 has said so well today already.
My 4 week transformation isn't huge (I don't have a full size mirror so can't really do progress pics on legs or booty) but I can tell my clothes are fitting better around the waist and I am finally starting to shrink that belly pouch and those love handles. So I am happy with my progress so far.
Thanks @karenadawn for posting that short hair inspiration. Taking the plunge to chop my hair off just proved to myself how much more confident I have become in myself which is a massive win for me. Also I've realised today that having been super busy and stressed at work I got a pimple. Now to most people that wouldn't be a good thing but the fact that I am now able to count days where I have one pimple over counting the days where I didn't want to cry getting ready from having a face full of acne sores staring back at me. Just that on its own is all the proof anybody would need that #lcg is the best thing you can do for your body.
And because I am literally only coming home to sleep today (was in the office until 11.30 only taking a break to go to my fitjump class) and this post is already long enough, I'll post my #tiucheckin tomorrow.

I'm gonna jump on this #tiutransformationtuesday After I had my 3rd son I kept a lot of the pregnancy weight on. I craved sweets and just kept eating I was the heaviest I ever was in my life, unhappy and uncomfortable in all of my clothes. I wouldn't even wear a bathing suit without a tank top. I didn't think I had time to work out and I didn't want to eat healthy. I was busy raising three boys!! Then I came across @toneitup instagram and it changed so much for me. I started with the workouts but it only helped a little so I joined the #tiunutritionplan 1 1/2 years ago. I lost over 20 pounds, dropped down 3 pant sizes, gained a knowledge on how to eat right, workout regularly and feel so much more confident in my own body then I ever have. I am so grateful for this amazing journey @katrinaascott and @karenadawn have inspired me to be on and so grateful for the #tiucommunity for keeping me motivated and inspired! The first photo on the left is January 2016 weighing in at 176 pounds at the height of 5'2. With very little muscle. This is pretty much pure fat. I was extremely uncomfortable in my body & I don't exactly buy into love your body no matter what. I didn't love my body and I didn't want to "learn to love it" at this stage. I was never "tiny" but when you don't fit in basically anything you own (& I own a lot of clothes) that becomes a problem. I'd struggled with my weight for the past 5 years. I knew I needed to make a change in my life so the first thing I did was cut out processed sugars from my diet (& if anyone knows me knows that that's really freaking hard for me. I LOVE SWEETS 🍫🍭) That is how we get to picture #2. April 2016 I decided hey let's step on the scale for the first time in months (I hate the scale btw) I had lost 15 lbs in 3 months just from cutting back drastically on my sugar intake (& eating a bit healthier and working out a few times a week) GOOO ME!! I was like yaaaaa I can actually do this.. I lose some more pounds & more fat & then the summer comes and I gain a little back. So here we are at fall 2016, I really kick my butt in gear healthy meals 80% of the time working out most days or at least doing some type of physical activity where I then hit 150 pounds!!! My clothes were staring to fit much better. I then decided in November to introduce processed sugars back into my diet which I went ape shit crazy over the holidays & LOVED every minute of it. I didn't even feel guilty. It truly is all about a healthy balanced life style (I admit I felt like a million bucks when I didn't eat crappy sugar but I loveeeee the taste of gooey melting chocolate cake so if you do too. You should have some! Treat yoooo self πŸ©πŸŽ‚) Finally here we are in the last photo just a couple of weeks on vacay πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί. I have been eating very well & treating myself sometimes a little too often. I go to the gym 5 times a week (rest days are important people) My clothes are actually becoming a little tooo big. I am actually falling in love with my body again. I am so HAPPY. ❀️

There's a 7.8 pound and several inches difference here. I've gained muscle and confidence since week 1.
