A different kind of #tiutransformationtuesday 🙌🏼 I was looking thru my old Israel trip pictures on one of our layovers and came across these gems. The pic on the left was in September 2013 in Eilat, Israel. As most of you know I started @toneitup in 2012 and quickly dropped 20 pounds (being I am 5'3, this was huge for me). I didn't purchase the nutrition plan yet and had NO idea what I was doing. I was eating lean cuisines and 100 calorie snack packs. I focused mostly on cardio because I felt I had to lose weight before I could "tone up". Bottom line: restricted calories and running. I was happy with my results and I felt amazing for the first time in years but, this lifestyle is not maintainable. A couple months after I bought the nutrition plan and started fueling my body with REAL foods! I stopped counting calories, I ate intuitively and (although hard) learned to ease back in to allowing myself to enjoy "treats". I cut cardio from everyday to about 3 days and learned rest days are important. I grabbed a set of weights and focused on form rather than how much I could lift. Verdict: Picture to the right. Eilat, Israel October 2017. I gained about 5-8 pounds, strength and confidence!!! Constantly learning, improving and revamping my goals on this journey. The top right picture is from a Tri 3 years ago and the left one is from last years Tri. I felt so fit doing those but my body definitely didn't match how I felt. I didn't do the triathlon this year and Just focused on working on me, so the bottom right picture is from my trip to Texas the beginning of this month. Pretty thankful I took time for me! I still need to post my before and after pics for the bikini series but I had to share this first

2011 -2017. Nearly 20kg (44lbs) difference💪🏼. What a ride it has been!. A lot of changes, lot of lessons learned along the way.

But most importantly I learned that weight doesn’t define fitness. The one on the left was skinny but also fit. One on the right is technically nearly overweight (BMI sucks some times 😂) but also fit. The one on the left could have avoided some injuries by doing some weight training, one on the right could really use some more cardio 😜.

My goal? To continue to get stronger, to never stop eating cookies guilt free, to lift all the heavy things and most of all be happy.

And also remember if you weigh more and have more muscles you can eat a lot more food 😄 and that’s what really counts right ?

To the girl who wants to lose weight, tone her body, or just feel confident in her own skin- this ones for you!
To the girl who feels overwhelmed at the thought of eating clean and exercising every day- this ones for you! The girl on the left tried over and over to commit to a healthy lifestyle and failed, she would get down on herself for eating something that wasn’t “healthy” and then just give up and drive through fast food (probably for some french fries, because I’m not gonna lie, this girl loves fries! 🙈🤣) and say I’d start again tomorrow... I was striving for perfection and I would give up the minute I couldn’t live up... Fear and doubt in myself held me back for 2.5 years. I blamed my lack of progress because I now had TWO kids and maybe my body was just never going to shed the pounds. Here’s the thing- the minute I realized it’s not about perfection or instant gratification (trying to drop 20 pounds in one month), it’s about living an honest and positive life.
It’s about waking up everyday and telling yourself “I am capable” BECAUSE YOU ARE! Believe it or not, our thoughts have a lot of control over us- so choose kind thoughts. 💕
To the girl who wants change but doesn’t know where to start- take it one day at a time and fall in love with taking care of yourself mentally and physically.
Starting this account forced me to be open and real with all of you. Was it scary? Ummmmm.... YES!!! 7 months later I still feel nervous posting pics like this- but that’s ok! I’ve found a certain confidence in feeling vulnerable and being 💯 me! LONG POST WARNING!

Oh boy, I haven't done a #transformationtuesday in a very long time! Well this morning when I got dressed I vividly remembered the picture of myself on the right.
It was taken at the fair in 2012, right at the beginning of grad school. I remember hiding behind those balloons. That flannel was from Target and a size XL, and it was tight! I remembered just feeling like a stuffed sausage!
The girl in that picture was confused, and felt a bit helpless. I hadn't been on a scale and when I did finally step on one that December (2012) I was 192lbs! The heaviest I've ever been! That fall I found @toneitup and started to do the free workouts they had posted, I also started running. A year later I bought the #tiuplan.

It's now been 5 Years following #tiuworkouts and 4 years following the #tiuplan and I'm so happy!
I've gone back and forth with weightloss and weight gain (going from single to a relationship will do that to ya! 😂😂) but I feel like I really know my body now and know how to feed it and take care of it!
I'm currently around 173lbs and feeling good! The smallest I've been on the plan was 153lbs, but to be honest, I was working out ALL THE TIME and really restricting my food (and all I did was workout, go to work, workout, repeat). I feel like I have so much more balance now. And I really like how my body looks and feels around 163-165lbs so my current goal is to get to that near December 😄 I've ran 3 Half Marathons, several 5ks, and even a 19.3 mile challenge weekend! So two weeks ago, I was going through all my old photos and clearing up space on my computer when I stumbled upon this bikini series photo from 2015. I was SHOCKED 🙀 I remember feeling so out of shape and embarrassed of this picture back then 😳 I was in college, had very little extra money, and was trying so hard to make healthy living a priority in my life. Fast forward to the end of the 2017 bikini series...comparing these photos side by side I can’t even believe where I was two years ago. My journey certainly hasn’t been consistent, but each time I learn what does and doesn’t work for me. I am so thankful for everything @toneitup has taught me and the inspiration that the #tiuteam provides me with every damn day y’all 💙

On the left➡️one year ago today, and on the right🔜29 weeks along (thanks time hop!). ••
This time last year we wanted so badly to be at the stage I’m at now, praying nightly for the little soul that’s growing inside of me. It was a long struggle, full of tears, questioning and prayer. One that I’m still wanting to share for any hopeful mamas out there, as that time was easily one of my most lonely experiences, despite my amazing hubby. ••
But, until then I’ll marvel at what a year does! I was determined to be my most fit last year and I’m extremely proud at how far I made it then. At the same time I’m extremely proud of the photo on the right, with a body that is making miracles while still carrying me through my daily workouts and adventures. ••
Transformation Tuesday can have many different looks friends, just as that beautiful body of yours will have many different looks and stages in life 😘

Today marks my 1 year aniversary of being with @toneitup so what better way to celebrate than #transformationtuesday ✨ Words cannot explain the love I have for this community❤️ One year ago, I was a senior in high school and lacked self confidence, energy and was generally unhappy. Since I first heard of tone it up and did my first set of daily moves and TIU workout, my entire outlook on life changed. Fast forward to June 2017, I had graduated and decided to pursue and a career in Marketing with a minor in nutrition. Today I am happy, strong and healthy. I have developed a passion for fitness and nutrition and it’s all because of the love and support of this community. Thank you @toneitup for believing in me when I couldn't and giving me the tools to improve myself. Also thank you to all the strong and capable role models I have met along the way who have encouraged and supported me. 1 year ago, I wouldn't of thought my life would be like this but I am so glad I started. I am thankful for all the friendships I have made and the connections that will last forever. The left is January and right is October. I've busted my butt with #tiuworkouts , learned to eat food that makes me feel good and found friends that share my goals. It's all finally clicked - when to eat what, what to avoid, never give up, be consistent, love me. ❤️ That's not to say I don't "fall off the wagon" still because I do! 🙋🏼 But I'm dang proud of myself and I still have goals.

#TransformationTuesday and NSV cutoff addition. After a hard last fall I got to a place physically and mentally that I did not want to be. I've been working on it and lost about 10 lbs. This is a pair of shorts I bought this summer that did not fit but I knew I'd get there so I took a pic in mid July. Thanks to this ridic hot humid weather I wore them all weekend and realized they are a smidge too big! I did @toneitup #7minutehiit x4 instead of LG's #HIIT bc my knee wasn't having it. That's a thing, right?? I haven't done one in forever so it feels weird to me... in fact... I've been trying to post this since 8 AM this morning. I honestly stopped taking legit progress pictures after the bikini series ended. One, because really I haven't found time. But, truthfully because every time I take a "before & after" picture, I beat myself up, I get discouraged, and I find fault in everything. Then I get so mean to myself, search for quick fixes, and tend to go in to a dark place. So - no progress pictures for me while I prepped for my wedding. I instead focused on ME. What works for ME? What makes my body feel good, what workout do I get to do (not have to), what food satisfies me and fuels my body? I learned quickly that 1) my fiancé is forever right and 2) my body is not her body. The things that work for so many of the gorgeous women I follow and my best gfs, doesn't work for me. And the things that used to work for me, need to be challenged so I am continually growing. Do I forget all of that at times? Damn right I do! And I have my days where I'm down and get discouraged and disgusted but this is a journey and I'm thankful for my difficult moments because then I appreciate the good ones more.

I tried to get very similar photos but when you aren't focused on that after photo, that's kind of difficult. The first photo was a year ago and I'm that photo, I felt great. The second photo is from January and in that picture, I also felt great! The third, is last week and I felt amazing! In between all of these pictures and even now, I've had moments where I've hated my body, moments that I went on a hunger strike, moments when I binge ate everything, moments where I cried for weeks... all of that, every piece, is part of my journey and no doubt, part of countless other women's journeys. The mental changes are the hardest and I'm still working on them, but I'm proud of all three photos, proud of my dedication, and very proud of the moments that brought me to this moment, the post, today. 💛

There are so many things that are different about me from left to right but the biggest thing I’m proud of is my STRENGTH 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 it was not easy to start working out again post graduation from college. I was out of cardio shape and my goal was not to loose weight but was to get strong 💪🏼 I wanted to be able to go on hikes and not feel like I was going to die 😅😅 I wanted to be able to run a mile straight, I wanted to be able to do an unmodified push-up.... a lot of these goals may be similar to goals you once had or goals you currently have. Keep working, keep pushing because you do get stronger.... I remember the feeling after 1 week of back into it, wondering why I hadn’t accomplished all my goals?!... it takes time, it takes work but it happens ❤️❤️
I’m posting this as a reminder to myself as I push for new goals and new strengths. I was happy in the left, and I’m happy in the right- but I will keep on working to improve my strength💪🏼... ps another transformation.... I swapped that plastic water bottle 🙅🏻 for protein 😹 I thought only guys drank protein powder when I first started working out again ( I know, I know, 🤦🏻‍♀️) again, a lot has changed over the years 😻..... tagged are all of the brands/people who have strongly inspired me along my journey!y

Why do I meal prep?! Because it saves this busy mama🙋🏻 so much time when I'm constantly on-the-go and taking care of my babes👧🏼👦🏼! I typically meal prep on Sunday and again on Tuesday night or Wednesday! I try to incorporate the kids in the muffin baking because it serves as a fun activity for them and a healthy snack option for the whole fam, #momwin! Why meal prep twice?! Because my fridge doesn't have room for 5 already made salads and breakfasts for the week with all the other foods my fam eats😬... and I would rather 2 mini meal preps than 1 meal prep that takes hours! .

Tonight'a meal prep was done through out the late afternoon and early evening. And all the recipes are giving me all the FALL FEELS 🍁❤️. Kids helped me make muffins after my sons nap, and I made the roasted veggies, oatmeal mason jars and chicken while kids ate dinner🙌🏻! A busy, but productive evening that will keep me on track the rest of the week and save me so much time when my littles 👦🏼👧🏼are tugging on my leg and needing my attention 👍🏻!
Meal Prep Tuesday:
1) Mason Jar Oatmeal from the #friskyfall @toneitupnutrition plan. Add all dry ingredients to jar and when ready to cook pour in bowl and add wet ingredients before microwaving
2) Chocolate Zucchini Muffins from #friskyfall @toneitupnutrition plan, great for M2 or a sweet treat and kids love them❤️!
3) Cider Roasted Vegetables for my lunches, recipe from @thewholejourney
4) Oven Roasted garlic and herb chicken for lunches ( for me and kids).

Loving (!) it here in Austin, and it’s only day one. As you can see - I got my hair cut and colored today. So that’s kind of a transformation, right? Speaking of which - before I went on my vacation, I almost hit -8,5kgs. Transformation Tuesday! The last time I wore this dress was to a friend’s wedding 8 years ago. I remember being shocked by how I looked in the pics from that day - not at all how I thought of myself. Flash forward a couple of years, and I found TIU, started working out, and eating healthy on a regular basis. Last weekend I wore the dress again, and felt totally different.
