I used to be a Dean Ambrose fan, but now I feel nothing but apathy. To me, right now, he's just a talent that insists on acting like an "I'm-ready-to-fight" kind of guy, when the gimmick doesn't really work anymore. I feel like his character is unidimensional and always revolves around the same stuff; his sense of humor is good, but it doesn't always complement the feuds he's in the way it should, making it really hard to take him seriously when all he does is calling on jokes; Ambrose also used to be a great promo cutter (still is, sure), but not even that aspect of him feels the same.
If I was a booker, I would make someone to attack him really, really bad, targeting his face consistently and so taking him out of action for a couple of months. Then, he would finally make his return as a heel - a psychotic character, due to all the injuries he suffered from the previous attack - and with a new in-ring gear (and a mask). In order to achieve that twist, I would make Bray Wyatt the responsible for the attack, and later make them a top heel duo, after Ambrose being completely brainwashed. It wouldn't be a new tag-team, the beginning of a new faction or the master-disciple thing. Just two villains showing no mercy, sharing the same beliefs and looking for each other's back.
