BEHIND THE SCENES// THE JUGGLE OF LIFE IS REAL.
We are nearing the first week of the school holidays with these 2 and I love nothing more than the lie ins, empty lunch boxes that don’t need filling and generally the slower pace. -
I’ve come to realise as Arlo 10 and Miela 7 sprout and grow they are drawn to be more with their peers and trying their hand at sport or art. I’ve always been of the less is more approach and have not felt called to fill up their days with after school activities. We go for 2 at the most each term BUT with only 2 activities each that equals 4 trips to town (20 minutes each way), plus soccer Sundays, on top of my my weekly markets and treatments. I’ve realised that I start resisting and resenting all the doing at times as i hit my tipping point and just want to collapse and cry- yes tantrum like. -
As a sensitive type ( without labelling myself) I feel more than ever the daily juggle of this life! -
As I head into the weekend with a big market tomorrow it’s a reminder to honour how I tick in the world and to bring more small intentional self care moments into my day- that’s what I’m all about here at True Mindful Beauty. Time to start walking the talk some more. -
This looks like to me: walks in nature, sitting in nature, breathe and meditation, tea time, bath rituals and learning to be more gentle and compassionate with myself instead of insisting on being a super woman! Just not me! -
Lovelies are you feeling the juggle? Do you have any small selfcare rituals that bring you back to centre and ground you into your day? I’d love to hear what works for you?
Here’s to creating more space for you this weekend.
With love Nicki x
