TINDALE 'THE LINK, the never ending thread exhibit at The Buddha Art Gallery ,Bhubaneswar Odisha India. This capsule collection is based on the beauty of Wild Tussa Silk from the local village I have stayed at for the past 3 weeks in Fakirpur. The experience seeing the silk from beginning stages to the end was mind blowing. The amount of time , energy and care taken to the silk left me inspired and will continue to be.
Also I was inspired by the tribals and natural dyeing in Koraput. I spent several weeks experimenting with natural dyes at base camp including KumKum seeds, Al powder, tumeric, marigolds and pomegranates. Behind the natural dyed garments is a display of the ingredients used to dye the fabric as well as sounds I have recorded along the trip of noises from the people we met. I have learnt a lot along the way about India , myself and enjoyed so much getting to know the other artists plus the amazing helpers we have had to make the trip enjoyable (Ajaya , Alok and Prakash ) I look forward taking all this knowledge home and continue to work with the village in Fakirpur. #TINDALE #TINDALEDESIGNS #TINDALEINDIA17
