hello all I have seen Call Me By Your Name and I’ve reached nirvana so it’s time to lay me down in my grave thanks for the great times but thank you #Timothee for the better times

One of the great satisfactions of voting in today’s New York Film Critics Awards—which I’m a longtime member— was seeing Timothée Chalamet win the prize as Best Actor for his performance in Luca Guadagnino’s heart-wrenching romance “Call Me By Your Name.” Chalamet has been walking off with honors, such as Breakthrough Actor, from the National Board of Review and the Gotham Awards. But such special-category citations take him out of the main competition, perhaps believing that his age, 22, means Chalamet is not yet ready to be judged with the cream of the crop. Such nonsense has no place with the New York Film Critics Circle, which recognizes acting without qualifiers. So it was gratifying to see Chalamet emerge victorious even against such veteran contenders as Gary Oldman in “Darkest Hour” and Daniel Day Lewis in “Phantom Thread.” Knowing Timothée, I’m guessing he’s the first to think he’s not worthy. The accent was on youth this year in the NYFCC voting, allowing “Get Out”’s Jordan Peele and “Lady Bird”’s Saoirse Ronan and Greta Gerwig to join Chalamet in the winner’s circle. But Chalamet, with top credits including TV’s “Homeland,” the stage production of John Patrick Shanley’s “Prodigal Son” and films as diverse as ”Interstellar,” “Miss Stevens,” “Hostiles” and “Lady Bird” on his resume, is way past the point of breaking through. He’s arrived. #Timothee Chalamet www.2017/11/new-york-film-critics-awards-oscars-lady-bird-the-florida-project-1201902587/
