I woke up this morning, ate my preworkout meal and started reading. It’s part of my morning ritual. Part of my job helping others is also helping myself. Reading, working out, eating healthy, posting on social media and helping others is something I get to do for work (even selfies😂). By just “trying” this opportunity I was able to open SO many doors! Opportunities and growth and new friends that I would have never had the pleasure of knowing. With this job, I have made it my goal to get out of my comfort zone as much as I can.
So today while reading, I told myself that today I was going to say yes to every opportunity even if fear would have made me say otherwise. I got a message today asking if I wanted to speak in front of a group of women to teach them about health and wellness (topic unknown, gotta work on that🤔). I said YES even though I am SO nervous to speak publicly in front of others.
I also said yes to something else though... @_salmaperez_ , my bff I have never met except via FaceTime through this health and fitness biz, asked me to do a #spartanrace with her!!! Of course I said, f💃🏻ck yeah!!! I’ve never done one of these ever.
You know that nervousness and excitement is the same feeling? So whenever you’re nervous, turn it in to excitement for the good that will come from you taking a leap of faith!! .
“What do I want for myself? What new goal would be meaningful to me? What am I excited about learning or giving? What great new adventure do I dream of? What grand pursuit or act of service will be satisfying to me and get me out of the bed each morning?” Such questions are the secret to stoking ambition, and thus motivation. It’s simple: By deeply contemplating higher aims, we energize ourselves to pursue them." from "The Motivation Manifesto" by @brendonburchard
