:: if we were meant to stay in one place, we'd have roots instead of feet ::
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Instead of taking the desperately needed long naps, we spontaneously took the kids to bike the San Antonio River Walk Trail. We started at Mission Conception to Mission Espada and back. .
Both kids did great until mile 10 mile. Poor A was so tired. All the motivation in the world couldn't help dry up her tears. Luckily there are plenty of parks and scenic places to stop and rest. When we finished she was all smiles and felt accomplished for sticking with it.
2 things I learned from our ride. 1. The road can be tough, but the end result is worth the struggle when it is done for the right reasons. 2. My kids are rock stars. Spending time adventuring together trumps taking a long nap.
