Here's a pretty common issue I see on my lesson tee. On the left you can see the golfers pelvis move toward the target at the start of the back swing. This is caused by the fact the golfer has not been taught to extend on the back swing. The golfer is retaining flexion in his knees, pelvis and spine all in an attempt to "stay in posture". In fact his head is dropping 5 inches!
On the right the golfer was told to get 3 inches taller in his back swing and move pressure into his right foot. Naturally the athlete responds by straightening his trail leg, moving his pelvis away from the target allowing him to release forward bend of the spine. By adding a left lateral bend the golfer is able to maintain perfect inclination to the ground (note the head position). The result is a gain of 8 yards due to a much shallower angle of attack. #extension #tilts #pressureshifts #gains💪
