Last week I needed to make some Tiki drinks for a birthday party I was working(1 year old bday party). What can I say? The kid had a problem😜 . . So I didn’t have time to reach for or create something original so why do that when Don the Beachcomber will suffice for most anything. . . Presented here and recently at a one year olds Birthday party is the “Missionary’s Downfall”. I kinda think the name is brilliant because this tropical, fruity and juicy drink is sweet and it will get you into trouble. . . Ingredients. . 12 mint leaves. 2 Oz of light rum. .5 Oz of peach liqueur. 1.5 Oz of fresh lime juice. 2 Oz of pineapple juice. .5 Oz of simple syrup. . . To prepare, quickly bruise the mint/quick muddle in the bottom of a shaker. Add the remaining ingredients with fresh ice and shake briskly. Pour directly into a Collins glass and garnish lavishly with more mint. This drink is what I feel like the Mojito was based on. It’s light and fresh. It’s slightly tart and sweet. It’s juicy and refreshing. In other words it will get you into trouble after a couple of them. . . .
