Love me some Tsehaytu Beraki #tigrigna #blacktingsdem #afrikantings

I remember my mum always using this saying!🇪🇷
There's no one that loves the way a mother does, a mother's love is selfless. Hence the saying 'there is no one like a mother' (direct translation).

This word, in Tigrigna /tɪˈɡriːnj ə/ (ትግርኛ, tigriñā), is very hard to translate 🇪🇷 as it almost covers all words of encouragement and empowerment. It's going to be ok, you can do it, keep your head up, you will be fine..and the list goes on. This particular word though is the masculine version. #empowerment #tigrigna #womenempowerment #womenempoweringwomen #empoweringmen #empoweringdads #mummyblogger #momblogger #youcandoit #yougotthis #yougotthisgirl #bloggerlife #alwaysencourage #spreadlove

🇬🇧: I’ve always been outgoing and sociable. Growing up, I was never much of a homebody. On the contrary I spent the vast majority of my adolescence outside our apartment. “Barakat has ants in his pants” my primary school teacher jokingly said. My mother always called me “zewari” which can be translated as ”someone who flings around” in my mother tongue #tigrigna. Now I know that the correct word is extrovert - or perhaps ‘extravert’ in my case 😉🙋🏾‍♂️
