I just want to feel good, feel like I’m thriving in any environment, use my body for what it was made for...you know, like posing for photos in your Speedos. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s a mad contradiction but to arrive at that illusive, comfortable place, you need to seek out the uncomfortable, make it your friend, become addicted to it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s not necessarily a case of how much you can suffer, or ‘getting ahead’. Nobody ‘wins’ in life, don’t know if you know this but we’re all heading one way - as much as I like to remain blissfully ignorant on the matter! It’s more finding enjoyment and resilience in the hardship. Because let’s face it, anything worth doing will incur plenty of hardship. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As much as any Instagram highlight reel - mine included - will have you think, it’s not all plain sailing, and I guess the point of this deep rambling is to tell you that I’m learning to accept the struggle, the ‘grind’. Not to champion it and show you how hardcore I am, but for my own mental well-being and to positively impact more people through my job as a personal trainer and movement coach.
