Three Graces, the Museum of Liverpool and a funny sunset light =========================== Albert Dock Liverpool, England 🏴
Day 171 - 173, Country #22 England, City #47 Liverpool
Liverpool is located in northwest England. It was a big migration and trade port in the 18th to 20th Centuries. It may be most well known now as the hometown of The Beatles. Sadly its biggest claim to fame was slavery. It was the biggest hub for trafficing and profiting off slavery in the English empire. The Liverpool cathedral is actually the fifth largest in the world and bigger then any other in England. I asked a few Cathedral employees why such an expensive one would be here and not in London and they said because Liverpool was flowing with cash and showing off its large profits from the slave trade. One of the largest slave transactions ever incorporated Liverpool. The two main museums here outside of the Cities history are the Beatles museum and Slavery museum which further drives the point home. 2.24 Mil pop metropolitan area.
