A significant part of Leith history, the old tram depot building at 165 Leith Walk dates back to the 1930s. Until recently it was used as a workspace by local artists but has since been earmarked as a site for a new housing development. However, this isn't planned to take place until after 2021 due to securing funding (£750,000) from the Scottish Government which will see the location transformed into a community hub due to open in April 2018. Exciting times indeed!
Wood-fired pizza is always a winner! This tasty offering is from @solopizzeriaedinburgh on Leith Walk who are currently doing a cracking deal on Groupon - £14.95 for pizzas for two + drinks. My dining companion enjoyed his pizza which means it must be decent as he has spent the last 3 years in Italy, the land of pizza itself! 🍕
