Today we have begun to unveil a project that has been months in the making. Becoming Oregon: Letters to Asahel Bush II, provides historians, researchers and students from around the world with internet access to letters written to this important Salem figure between 1851-1909, formative years of our city and state. Becoming Oregon was made possible through grants from the Oregon Heritage Commission, and the Oregon Cultural Trust, and completed with the assistance of Diane Huddleston, James O'Shea, Christopher Pollard, Bob Speckman, and Ross Sutherland. Get a glimpse at the project at the link in our bio, and check back early next week when all the letters will be loaded to our website. #salemartassociation #bushhousemuseum #salemoregon
