This is a small corner of my home! I bought the sideboard from an Antique Shop at Norwood about 40 years ago. I have so many memories sitting on it including a couple of our wedding photos, family decanters and two favourite white soup tureens. Our lovely carriage clock was given to us by my bridesmaid. The only piece of coastal decor on it is a replica of the yacht Shamrock that was built in 1930. My favourite style is Hamptons. Our little beach cottage is called 'The Hamptons'. One day one of my husband's friends who'd never heard of The Hamptons knocked at the front door and asked if "Mr and Mrs Hampton lived here"!!!! In the black box is a special bottle of port that our son and DIL gave Graham when he turned 70. We're going to open it when our two eldest granddaughters. turn 21.
At the front of the box is an antique wooden spirit level that Graham received from the Historic Motor Vehicles Club. There's a special photo in a beachy wooden photo frame of my sister Helen and myself when I was five and she was one. Its special because she's 71 now and has Alzheimers. I show her photos sometimes when they come to visit. We always have a laugh about it as the leg of her undies is hanging down below her dress. Thanks Gayle @petals.and.paws for asking me to #showusyourdecor #thishouseofours I've enjoyed sharing. Anne @anne__middleton I'd like to ask you to share a small piece of your style with us but only if you want to and have the time! 💙💙💙
