Please. Stop doing this. You are so much more than the judgmental, short-sighted, and often ill intentioned opinions others may have of you. It has zero to do with who you really are, or knowing what you really bring to the table. People have to make up their own opinions in order to satisfy their own realities. And sometimes in order to fill in the gaps for their own insecurities, and the mistakes and hurt they’ve created for you.
⠀As long as you’re good with you, and you’re not hurting others, carry on...
So, please. Please stop equating your self worth with someone else’s perception of you. YOU know who you are, and you will always be that inside. Keep letting that light shine. Even if it has been bottled up for a minute there...let your lightening out! ⚡️✨
“Stay True to Yourself
Don't worry about what people think of you or about the way they try to make you feel. If people want to see you as a good person, they will. If people want to see you as a bad person, absolutely nothing you do will stop them. Ironically, the more you try to show them your good intentions, the more reason you give them to knock you down. Keep your head up high and be confident in what you do. Be confident in your intentions and keep your eyes ahead instead of wasting your time on those who want to drag you back. Because you can't change people's views, you have to believe that true change for yourself comes from within you, not from anyone else”
