Ok friends & family - I am finally getting to clean out john's play area...This is an extremely ridiculous amount of STUFF for one little almost 2 year old to have! (And of course this isn't even everything, this is just the stuff in the living room 😩) I am officially begging everyone to please refrain from buying another toy, stuffed animal, car, truck, puzzle, ball, etc. as john's 2nd birthday approaches. John is soooooo loved and we appreciate everything, this is just so much more than any child could ever need! He enjoys playing with empty boxes and water bottles as much as an expensive toy. Craig and I are guilty, too, of over purchasing but would like to move away from having john feel like he needs to be surrounded with all this stuff and want to focus more on the fun activities and things we do with each other. Like riding bikes! John is getting so good at riding his strider bike, we are looking forward to many track days in his future!
Now I can't help but think about how desperate the unit I work on at Valley Children's is for toys right now! We are currently saving recycling to raise money to buy toys for the kids to have to play with while they are in the hospital...John will be making a donation for his second birthday and if anyone else is doing spring cleaning and has toys (just can't have fabric on them as we have to be able to clean them between patients), please let me know!! #sorrynotsorry #idolovethegiganticteddybears #theyarentgoinganywhere ❤️,
